As part of the Open Doors Project I had a brief to choose a door with architectural detail and make a scale model of it.  I chose the Forework Gatehouse at Stirling Castle.  This was due to its history and the impression it left on me.  The above provides just one sample of how I have taken a 'real' object and turned it into a life like model.

I completed my HND Modelmaking Design course at Metropolitan College, Glasgow in June 2008.  I was awarded Top Student in Model Making 2007-08 and was part of a team who won the Team Award in the Craftex Exhibition at the Trades House in June 2008.

I have been involved with Freelance work for the past couple of years including model painting, model making for film, model making with Keppie Design and have been involved with a variety of projects as part of a team.

The Dinosaur Project was a class project completed during the NQ level of the course.  The aim was to make a 1:1 scale of the Dino and each class member picked an area to work on.

The model was made out of layers of blue foam which were carved into and then painted. The paint effect had to replicate the original fossil's appearance.  The project is on display in the college building.
